Gaps in Planking
In the process of repainting the inside of an old Comet (#1292) and have found some gaps in the planking probably from years of being out of the water. My question is what would be best to fill them prior to new paint. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Leaky #2222 Skaneateles
Greetings, I've become somewhat discouraged with this boat that leaks badly. It has a double planked bottom. I wonder what would be the best way to fix her up. I was told that it had a layer of canvas between the inner and outer planking that made it waterproof. If so, the canvas is probably shot. Any suggestions? Thanks

Boat Maintenance Tip: Brown Water Stain Removal

Those of us with white boats at this years Internationals were faced with the task of restoring our severely brown water stained boats, back to white. No soap or cleaner seemed to work. The product that was found to work miracles was "Iron Out". Results were nearly instantaneous and no scrubbing was required. Merely make a paste, wipe it on and rinse it off. There are other similar products available. The active ingrediants in Iron Out are Sodium Hydrosulfite and Sodium Bisulfite.
